Hey guys! It's been ages since I've updated but I've DEFINITELY still been working on the game, as you can see here with this new version. It contains an entirely new health system which is more precise (uses health points as opposed to a health bar with a range of HP values from 1-99 like in Metroid). I've also made it more original in other small ways in general and have redesigned some of the areas like in sector 1...but I won't spoil what has changed in sector 1 too much(there's a certain scene I want you guys to see for yourselves blind) :)
